Who We Are
The Tucson Hellhounds are Tucson's Buhurt/Steel Combat team. Founded in 2012 by Matthew Richardson and Charles Nagore, we are joined in 2026 by our female team, the Tucson Knight Witches.
While The Hellhounds are the Tucson Chapter of Armored Combat Worldwide (ACW), fighters from both the Hellhounds and the Knight Witches participate in multiple Buhurt organizations such as American Medieval Combat Federation (AMCF), International Medieval Combat Federation (IMCF), Buhurt International (BI), and many more.
Leading the fight as of 2026, we are proud to introduce
our captains, James Hill and Amarielle Hall-Rahi.
Where we Train
The Tucson Hellhounds, and our newly founded female team, the Tucson Knight Witches, currently train at Iron Thistle Academy in Tucson, Arizona. It is centrally located near 29th and Swan and also offers training in Filipino Marshal Arts with FMA Tucson, individual personal training, strength training, mobility training, and health coaching sessions, and much more. We are working to grow with this facility to build a home where we can continue to train, provide a place to gather and to hold our local demos, and to encourage our youth to incorporate the virtues of a Knight into their everyday lives.
